The iris valve consists of two concentric rings which connected to a flexible sleeve, it's more like a cloth bag. A head of the bag is connected to an inner ring and the other end to an external control ring. The control ring is equipped in a handle that can be rotated 180 degrees. By the rotation of the control ring, the bag is twisted into loose, tight and completely closed states. That's how we control the unloading volume of materials as we needed.
Iris valve is mainly used to unload bulk bags which weighs form 300kgs to 2000kgs. Through tightening the neck of the bag and cutting off the flow of material, the materials fall down to the silo or other stocking deveice as we controlled.
The iris valve works well for transporting explosive and brittle materials, but it is not suitable for handling high mobilily and abrasive materials, or systems requiring frequent opening and closing.
