Tektronix TDS744A Oscilloscope 500MHz 2GSa/s 13 1F 1M 2F, NEW LCD
Passes self test. Passes SPC more than 20 times in a row.
After running the self tests and SPC, no additional errors appear in the error log.
All 4 channels were tested for compliance with Tektronix bandwidth specification @ 500Mhz and all 4 pass.
There is a new LCD installed.
The rear VGA port is still usable with this LCD installed.
The LCD upgrade alone is a $350 in parts upgrade. The LCD upgrade also shaves off
more than 5 pounds in weight vs the old CRT and driver board and the amount of heat
generated by this scope is significantly less now. (Beware of LCD upgrades which disable
the rear VGA port. With this port disabled, you are stuck with only using the front LCD as
a method of display. With the rear VGA port enabled, you can attach a rather large external
VGA monitor.)
