The 60,000 rpm programmable speed motor of the ProtoMat C60
allows the use of an extended range of tools, including small rectangular
profiled endmills with diameters as small as 0.25 mm (10 mil). These tools have
superior characteristics for RF and microwave applications, and allow maximum
precision with minimum penetration into the substrate. The high-speed motor
also allows the production of dense digital designs with track and gap
geometries of 100 µm (4 mil) and 0.2 mm (8 mil) drill holes, as well as multilayer
applications.
